We are here to help in
your journey to improved health.
How we began
After completing his training as a GP and working in Ireland for a number of years, Dr Crotty, moved to Canada where his passion for Bariatric Medicine flourished. He established and ran a successful medical weight management clinic and strongly advocated for improved care for people living with overweight and obesity.
On his return to Ireland in late 2019 he connected with Prof Carel le Roux, Irelands foremost authority in Bariatric/Obesity medicine and a world-renowned researcher in the area. Together they set about meticulously planning a service that is different from anything that has previously existed in Ireland - a non-judgemental, patient-centred, medical weight management clinic based on the highest level of scientific evidence.
Dr Crotty and Prof le Roux are passionate about changing the conversation that surrounds weight in Ireland. They have worked tirelessly to advocate for the provision of treatment that those who live with this medical condition deserve.
My Best Weight has been recognised by EASO (European Association for the Study of Obesity) as a “leading obesity management centre in Europe” and becomes the first, non-hospital based, accredited centre in Ireland. As part of this pan-European network of EASO-Collaborating Centres for Obesity Management (EASO-COMs) we contribute to guidelines, education, scientific exchange & research in the area of weight management.
Our Mission
To provide a safe and helpful environment to talk about weight. We strive to identify and address the specific and unique causes of a persons weight issues. We focus on sustainable long term weight management and health gain through an individualised and holistic approach.
